At JBG, we’re committed to helping individuals achieve their employment goals through a flexible, personalised approach. Our partners—local organisations, charities, community groups, and job centre staff—play a crucial role in understanding and leveraging our approach to make effective referrals and enhance collaborative support.
Flexible, Client-Centred Support
Our approach is designed to meet the unique needs of each individual. Here’s how we ensure tailored support:
- Convenient Appointment Scheduling: We prioritise accessibility by offering appointments in venues that are convenient for the individuals we support. They have the flexibility to choose appointment dates and times that best fit their schedules.
- Dedicated Employability Adviser: Each client is paired with a dedicated Employability Adviser who will be their consistent point of contact. This adviser provides continuous support and guidance throughout their journey with JBG.
Initial Appointment and Registration
The initial appointment sets the stage for effective support:
- Registration and Eligibility Check: Clients complete a registration process to verify their eligibility for our services. To qualify, clients must be Glasgow City Council residents aged 16 years or over.
- Skills and Experience Assessment: The adviser assesses the client’s skills, experiences, and any potential barriers to create a customised action plan with clear, achievable goals.
Ongoing Tailored Support
After the initial appointment, clients receive personalised support that evolves based on their progress:
- Custom Action Plan: Clients work with their adviser to develop a personalised action plan that outlines steps to achieve their employment goals.
- Comprehensive Support Services:
- Personal Development and Confidence Building: We provide training programs focused on enhancing personal development and building confidence. Discover our Diverse Training Pathways for more information.
- CV and Cover Letter Support: We assist in creating and refining CVs and cover letters to increase interview opportunities.
- Job Search and Application Guidance: Support with job searching, application processes, and interview preparation.
