Being online is an essential lifeline.
Throughout the coronavirus crisis, the internet is keeping us connected to friends and family, informed and entertained, and able to learn, work, shop and access health information and other public services.
However, some people can’t access these benefits because they don’t have the confidence, kit, or connectivity at home.
Connecting Scotland is working to change this and help get every citizen in Scotland online.
We are delighted they have awarded us with 100 brand new Chromebook laptops as part of their Digital Champions Connecting Scotland programme.
These will be distributed to our our customers to support them with job searching and to apply for work. They will also assist them to take part in online interviews and training courses and of course they can also be used to help people stay connected with friends and family too.
Each device will have 24 months unlimited internet access, provided by WiFi through Vodaphone using MiFi devices provided by Connecting Scotland.
All customers have access to support in using the devices through Connecting Scotland staff who have been trained as Digital Champions.
